My name is Tania Ormsby (as if that’s not obvious) I was born and raised in the shadow of the Franklin Mountains in the desert town of El Paso, Texas. I spent most of my life there until my husband and I uprooted our family and moved us all 551 miles away to San Antonio, Texas. Best decision we ever made, honestly, well besides getting married. We have 6 incredible children, our oldest is closing in on the last “teen” year and will be 19 in March, while our youngest just turned 7. The other 4 kids are all in high school though so we get to experience the joys of juggling driving school and first jobs with play dates and little league sports. Life can be insanely hectic as you can imagine.

As for my writing; I’ve been creating stories since I learned how to pen words. My mom, to this day, still loves to tell anyone who will listen about the story/comic I created when I was about 8 years old, about a team of super heroes who lived in a clam shell and were led by an anthropomorphic virus cell. I’ve clearly always been strange.

My life goals detoured in college and I found myself transferring to a trade school, then working as an IT Technician for the better part of the last 13 years. But now here I am, with the encouragement of my immensely supportive husband, finally finishing my degree in Creative Writing and working on the draft of my first novel. It’s been a ride but life at least circled back and brought me to where I wanted to be.

What I’ll be Posting

So, here on this blog I’ll be sharing a little bit of everything-mainly about writing, of course- but I’ll throw in some family posts every now and then. My youngest, in particular, is a constant source of interesting stories and antics; plus the animals in my house get up to all sorts of mischief. 6 kids=almost an equal amount of pets! My life is never dull. As I am still working on my draft and new to this blogging thing I plan to post at least once a week starting off. You can expect to see things like my top favorite books or authors, my sources of inspiration, and maybe even a poem or two (if I feel they’re not to morbid).

But before this goes on to long I’ll end it here and save my ramblings for another day. Thank you so much for being here and reading my first post! I hope y’all stick around. You can follow my different social media channels for updates on my blog and other random things I share on those sites.
